Christine Roychowdhury (SWA)
An Artist living and working in Suffolk, England. Christine Roychowdhury studied Fine Art at Goldsmith’s College London This has greatly influenced her approach to art and the belief that art should work on both a visual and intellectual basis as well as an emotional one.
She was born in Lancashire and brought up within a working class family and she comes at art from that point of view.

Elected a member of the SWA 2025
Exhibited in the Royal Scottish Academy (RSA) 2022 and in the 2026 exhibition winning the prestigious inaugural ” Changing Ideas” Award at the 200th Annual Exhibition.
She has exhibited in the Women in Art Fair ( WIAF) exhibitions both in the Mall Galleries and the OXO galleries London. 2023-2026
Won an award in the South West Academy Open Exhibition 2024 awarded by Berne's Hampton and Littlewood
Exhibited in Society of Women Artists (SWA) exhibitions annually Mall Galleries London.
Exhibited at Aberdeen Art Galley Aberdeen
Exhibited in Scottish Portrait Awards 2018/2019.Edinburgh and Glasgow.
Exhibited in Limerick Ireland and Cardiff Wales
Selected to take part in Sky Portrait Artist of the Year 2019.
Participated NEOS (North East Open Studios) 2019. and Suffolk Open Studios 2023
Short listed x5 for the National Portrait Gallery Competition.
Shortlisted 2025 and 2023 for the John Moores Liverpool.
Short listed for The Columbia Threadneedle Award 2018.
